About the Opportunity

Bourns is seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Line Manager - Custom Magnetics Americas to lead the growth, profitability, and long-term business strategy of our Custom Magnetics product portfolio across North America. This highly visible leadership role will partner closely with customers, manufacturing sites, engineering teams, sales organizations, and executive leadership to define product strategy, identify new market opportunities, and drive profitable growth.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with technical expertise to develop product roadmaps, manage P&L performance, evaluate emerging market trends, and help shape the future direction of our Custom Magnetics business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product line strategies that support growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.
  • Own product line financial performance, including forecasting, pricing strategies, cost management, and profitability improvements.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts, including annual business plans, five-year growth initiatives, and quarterly business updates.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing, engineering, quality, finance, operations, and sales teams to ensure successful product execution.
  • Establish product development priorities and technology roadmaps aligned with customer and market needs.
  • Manage product line resource planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, semiconductor partners, suppliers, and industry organizations.
  • Support applications engineering and laboratory activities to deliver innovative customer solutions.
  • Represent Bourns in industry associations, technical forums, and standards organizations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in electronics manufacturing, engineering, product management, marketing, or related technical business leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership and business management experience.
  • Experience working directly with customers and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, product development, market analysis, and commercial strategy.
  • Experience in the electrification market is highly desirable.
  • Broad leadership and management experience preferred.
