Job description

Eaton's B-Line Division is currently seeking an Associate Product Line Manager - Cable Management (GEIS). This is a hybrid role with approximately 25% travel and can be based in one of the following locations: Highland, IL; Houston, TX; Littleton, CO; Syracuse, NY. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do: This position is responsible for developing and executing product-specific commercial and marketing strategies that drive sales growth, specification position, and market adoption of Eaton cable management solutions across North America.

The Associated Product Line Manager serves as the primary commercial and technical marketing lead for the product line, partnering closely with regional sales teams, engineering, product management, application engineering, and channel partners. The role is highly customer-facing and focused on driving product adoption through specification development, market engagement, customer training, Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives, and sales support activities. This individual must possess a strong technical understanding of electrical power distribution and Cable Management applications, enabling effective engagement with consulting engineers, EPC firms, contractors, end users, and other key industry influencers.

Moderate travel is required to support sales calls, engineering presentations, training events, project pursuits, and strategic customer engagements throughout North America. Essential Functions: Commercial & Market Development Develop and execute the annual Cable Management marketing strategy aligned with product line growth objectives. Drive sales growth and specification position for Cable Management products through targeted market development initiatives.

Partner closely with regional sales managers, agents, and field sales teams to identify opportunities and win strategic projects. Develop sales enablement tools, customer presentations, competitive positioning documents, and marketing collateral. Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) activities and convert customer insights into actionable product, service, and market initiatives.

Monitor market trends, emerging applications, industry standards, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. Conduct competitive analysis and maintain a detailed understanding of competing cable management solutions. Support strategic planning activities and provide market intelligence, forecasts, and growth recommendations for product leadership.

Specification & Technical Positioning Establish and strengthen Eaton's preferred specification position with consulting engineers, EPC firms, industrial end users, utilities, and data center customers. Conduct engineering presentations, lunch-and-learn sessions, and technical seminars for consulting engineers and key influencers. Provide technical application guidance and support during project pursuit activities.

Review project specifications and identify opportunities to improve Eaton's competitive position. Work with engineering and application teams to develop technical content, specifications, design guides, and educational materials. Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure market requirements are incorporated into future product roadmaps.

Sales Support & Customer Engagement Serve as the technical and commercial marketing resource for regional sales teams and channel partners. Accompany sales personnel on customer visits, project reviews, and strategic account engagements. Support major project pursuits through direct engagement with specifiers, consultants, contractors, and end users.

Assist in resolving customer inquiries involving product application, competitive positioning, and technical requirements. Develop and deliver product training programs for Eaton sales teams, representatives, distributors, engineers, and customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key market influencers and industry stakeholders.

Product Marketing Develop product positioning, messaging, customer value propositions, and go-to-market strategies. Lead commercial aspects of new product introductions, product launches, and portfolio expansion initiatives. Partner with marketing communications to create digital campaigns, promotional programs, training content, and customer communications.

Measure effectiveness of marketing programs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Support pricing, market segmentation, and channel development initiatives for the cable management product line. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, product marketing, product management, engineering, or sales support within the electrical industry. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of one of the following locations (Highland, IL; Houston, TX; Littleton, CO; Syracuse, NY) will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related technical discipline. MBA or advanced business degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in electrical infrastructure products or electrical distribution systems Experience working with consulting engineers, EPC firms, utilities, industrial customers, or data center markets.

Knowledge of cable management products including Cable Bus, cable tray, conduit systems, or related power distribution solutions. Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing programs that drive measurable sales growth. Experience delivering technical presentations and training programs.

Skills: Position Success Criteria: Strong technical understanding of electrical distribution systems and cable management applications. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, contractors, and business decision makers. Ability to influence project specifications and position Eaton solutions as the preferred design choice.

Strong presentation, training, and public speaking skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities. Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.

Ability to translate market intelligence and customer feedback into growth initiatives. Strong project management and organizational skills. Self-motivation and ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities.
