Product Manager – Inorganic

Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – FridayPosition Summary:

The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the product management process for the assigned product line, including hardware, software, accessories, and consumables. This role involves defining the product vision and strategy, managing the product lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure market success. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Sales, Service, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned products through the entire lifecycle—from concept to end-of-life.
  • Conduct customer and market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Define product requirements, specifications, and positioning strategies.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, pricing models, go to market planning and promotional plans.
  • Collaborate with R&D on cross-functional product development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Associate Product Managers.
  • Prepare and maintain sales tools, training materials, and product documentation.
  • Monitor product performance metrics including margins, ROI, and market trends.
  • Support global sales teams with product training and customer engagement.
  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits.
  • Serve on technical committees to actively contribute, review and vote on industry standards.
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, sales, or marketing of laboratory equipment, consumables, or analytical instruments.
  • Proven ability to drive growth in mature or competitive markets.
  • Experience working on cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into actionable product strategies.
  • Project management and organizational skills with a track record of delivering results.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
