Position: Technical Product Specialist

Location: Valley Green, Pennsylvania

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a Technical Product Specialist to join our Product Management and Marketing team. The position will be located in Valley Green, Pennsylvania.

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Technical Product Specialist in our Cabled Backplane Systems team who can support our product management team and customers with daily tasks and work cross functionally with engineering, quality, production, customer service, and other functions on various product lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting RFQs, RFPs, as well as costing and pricing of product lines
  • Managing product sampling for customers including managing and communication of schedules to customers
  • Manage product PCN's
  • Monitoring on-going cost reduction and implementation
  • Assisting on product requests from customers & sales team
  • Developing marketing materials including product datasheets, press releases, and other online or printed marketing collateral
  • Ensuring quality and other functions provide timely responses to customer quality concerns
  • Developing sales and marketing tools, providing technical assistance to customers and sales team
  • Data analysis of product sales including tracking of revenue/margin by product/part number/region/customer
  • Job-related travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 2+ years related experience, ideally within the interconnect industry
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to lead and navigate dynamic environments Technical aptitude, including ability to read mechanical drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with global and multicultural teams in marketing, engineering, quality, manufacturing, vendors, and customers
