3 Key Consulting is hiring an Engineer for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Engineer at its Cambridge, MA site to provide equipment support.Our ideal candidate will have:
Previous biotech/pharma experience (would be a plus)
Experience working with equipment
B.S. in a scientific field
Manager is open to entry level candidates.
Upstream cell culture or downstream purification experience (nice to have)
Chemical Engineering B.S preferred
Nice to have: instrumentation background, preventative maintenance, automation background (DeltaV or Finesse controllers), and process monitoring or trending experience. Bioreactors, Chromatography
Responsibilities include:
Perform the system owner role for assigned systems to ensure equipment reliability and technology development initiatives.
Develop and maintain process control automation solution for bench top Finesse and DeltaV Controllers systems in Next Generation Lab
Coordinating projects for equipment modification/improvement
Data trend analysis of the system and equipment used for technology development to identify and proactively manage performance trends.
Ensuring the preventive maintenance schedule for the systems is successfully implemented.
Create a critical spare parts list for the systems/equipment and maintain appropriate levels of spares.
Troubleshooting of performance trends and equipment reliability.
Support of new product introductions and implementation of new equipment/technology.
Support of continuous improvement project monitoring effectiveness of implemented projects.
Initiating review and approval of changes to operating procedures and EHS change control process relating to the system.
Identify and implement engineering-based improvements or upgrades to process equipment, including identification of design requirements, options analysis, design, installation, startup and qualification of equipment.
Designing, executing, implementing and leading engineering or process projects
Working in a collaborative manner with various functions and contributing to investigations
