SUMMARY: Boviet Solar Cell Technology USA (Phase 2 Expansion)

We are seeking an Equipment Technician to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Greenville, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment that supports our production processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, supporting efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations, and maintaining compliance with clean room standards and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform equipment setup, calibration, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs to ensure manufacturing equipment operates efficiently.
  • Conduct equipment commissioning in accordance with production, quality, and process engineering requirements to support manufacturing operations.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform repairs when possible, and coordinate with specialized technicians as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with safety procedures, company policies, and clean room protocols, including proper gowning and contamination control practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring compliance with clean room standards to protect product quality and equipment performance.
  • Monitor, document, and analyze equipment performance and abnormal conditions to support troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and clean room practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Physics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

The following experience is preferred, but not required:

  • Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in the solar, semiconductor, electronics, battery, automotive, pharmaceutical, or other similar manufacturing industries.
  • Experience working in a clean room or other controlled manufacturing environment.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Proficiency with mechanical and electrical maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while following clean room and contamination control procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
