Minimum Requirements
Basic computer skills required; experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe, or similar software is a plus.
Preferred Requirements
Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Primary Functions of Position
Under the general direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Print Shop Operator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the college's Print Shop. This position provides quality printed materials to the college in a timely and accurate manner and assists with printing, copying, binding, finishing, campus mail and customer service needs. This position also supports Marketing and Communications by preparing print ready files, assisting with graphic design projects, and helping ensure printed materials meet SCC brand and quality standards.
Essential Duties:
  • Process and complete print requests, including copies, booklets, instructional materials, flyers, forms, rack cards, signage and administrative documents.
  • Operate digital printing, binding, cutting, folding and finishing equipment.
  • Monitor and organize print shop supplies, including paper, toner, envelopes, and other materials.
  • Sort and distribute incoming and interoffice campus mail; assist with the preparation of outgoing mail and postage.
  • Prepare, review and adjust files for print using Microsoft Office, Canva, PDF formats and other approved platforms.
  • Assist with graphic design projects in Canva to support print shop and marketing operations.
  • Edit or format print ready materials to meet quality, layout, sizing and readability standards.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to faculty and staff regarding print and mail related needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient print shop environment.
  • Assist with printed materials, signage and logistical support for college events and marketing projects.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned in support of the Marketing and Communications department.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work well with others.
