*This is a Full-Time position based in our St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.
What You Will Do
The Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) will support the firm's portfolio management team across multiple strategies and technologies. This role sits at the intersection of portfolio management, research, and client support. The APM will work closely with three Portfolio Managers, as well as Research, Trading, Risk, Compliance, and Distribution teams, to ensure portfolios are well supported, accurately implemented, clearly communicated, and aligned with ARK's long term investment philosophy.
This role offers close proximity to investment decision making and portfolio management. Growth in responsibility is earned through demonstrated judgment, execution, and alignment with the firm's values. A Portfolio Manager role is not guaranteed.
Your Responsibilities
Portfolio Support and Investment Process
  • Participate in weekly stock meetings and produce concise summaries that reflect both decisions and underlying thinking.
  • Generate trade ideas informed by research discussions, market dynamics, and portfolio exposures.
  • Support portfolio reviews by documenting changes, rationale, and portfolio implications with accuracy and context.
  • Prepare portfolio level commentary, including monthly and quarterly updates that clearly articulate macro themes and company specific developments.
  • Partner with Research, Portfolio Management, and Client Support teams to address investment related inquiries with clarity and precision.

Portfolio Operations and Analytics
  • Support trade execution workflows, including trade entry, documentation, and post trade validation.
  • Run and maintain portfolio analytics and reporting across a global suite of portfolios.
  • Proactively identify data, reporting, or process gaps and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and automation initiatives, including the thoughtful use of AI tools.

Communication and Collaboration
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, roadshows, and in person engagements with attention to narrative and detail.
  • Communicate portfolio changes clearly and consistently to internal stakeholders and distribution partners.
  • Coordinate with distribution partners on meeting preparation, presentations, and territory support.
  • Contribute to written research, presentations, and internal content that support the firm's investment perspective.
  • Support broader corporate initiatives and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in investment management, trading operations, or financial services.
  • CFA designation or progress toward the CFA Charter preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data management skills.
  • Proficiency with financial platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and/or Enfusion is a plus
  • Familiarity with ETFs, mutual funds, and or digital assets is a plus.
