Job Title:Portfolio Analyst & TraderJob Description:

Summary

Provides analytical and trading support for the Wealth Management investment team. Also supports the analytical needs and trading needs for other teams in Wealth Management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring client account cash levels and invests excess cash when needed.

  • Independently complete investment portfolio trading activity based on the client's stated investment goals and risk tolerance.

  • Process ad-hoc trade requests.

  • Reviews portfolios for tax loss harvesting opportunities and recommends tax loss harvesting trades.

  • Assists in preparing investment recommendations for clients and prospects.

  • Communicate suitable investment portfolio trade recommendations to clients, Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers and Portfolio Managers.

  • Completes compliance investment reviews.

  • Create Investment Policy Statements as needed.

  • Assists with Mutual Fund and ETF fund research using internal research databases.

  • Assists Portfolio Managers, Wealth Advisors, and Trust Officers in client conversations related to high conviction ETFs and Mutual Funds.

  • Prepare investment review materials used in periodic client conversations.

  • Prepares committee level reports to be reviewed in the Compliance Committee and Investment Committee

  • Serve as secretary to the Investment Committee.

  • Creates, checks, delivers and explains periodic investment reports to clients.

  • Assists in preparing documents for other Wealth Management team members in the process of closing new client prospects.

  • Creates, tests, documents and implements new policies and procedures to enhance Investment Team efficiency.

  • Creates, tests and implements new investment research ideas in Factset (or current research system).

  • Provides regular reporting to other Enterprise Bank & Trust departments.

  • Assists with annual regulatory Exams and Audits.

  • Performs regular checks on custodial and performance reporting systems.

  • Gathers reporting from Wealth Management partners (separate account managers, investment consultant, fund managers, etc..)

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Ensure a high level of ethics, integrity and professionalism in all client, prospect, public, and internal interactions so as to promote the bank's reputation and to ensure compliance with trust policies and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Superb interpersonal skills to work within a team environment while successfully developing/retaining client relationships.

  • This position requires strong research, analytical, math and decision-making skills based on a thoughtful assessment of risk and attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated to work independently and take ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to demonstrate sound business discretion, good judgment and excellent problem-solving skills.

  • General knowledge of market trends, compliance standards and trust products.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

  • One to three years related experience and/or training

Computer and Software Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite and Google.

  • Intermediate Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Skilled in operation of Fidelity Wealthscape, Tamarac and Salesforce.

  • Understanding of the Factset Research system and other investment related applications is a plus.
