These skills and qualifications are crucial to ensure high-quality patient care, accurate clinical documentation, and seamless integration into medical practice settings.

Description
Pediatrician - Founding Physician
New Pediatric Practice (De Novo) Pittsboro, North Carolina
Location: Pittsboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time
Practice Status: New Practice (Aligned with the Right Provider and Location)
Summary
Build with intention in one of the Triangle's fastest-growing areas.
Build Something New - Where It's Truly Needed
We are exploring the launch of a new pediatric practice in Pittsboro and are seeking a pediatrician who wants more than a traditional associate role.
This is a rare opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up in a community with growing demand for accessible, high-quality pediatric care.
This is a provider-led expansion with flexibility around timing and location to ensure the right long-term fit.
From day one, you will play a meaningful role in shaping the clinical experience, care model, and community relationships of a practice built to last.
Why Pittsboro?
Pittsboro sits in one of the fastest-growing pockets of the Triangle, with a blend of thoughtful development and preserved community identity.
  • Located near Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh
  • Significant residential growth, including new planned communities
  • Increasing demand for outpatient pediatric access
  • Access to top-tier health systems and universities

This is an opportunity to build a practice in a high-growth corridor where the population is expanding faster than access to pediatric care.
The Role
• Provide comprehensive pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents
• Build long-term, trusted relationships with families
• Help shape clinic workflows, culture, and patient experience
• Participate in community outreach and local partnerships
• Collaborate closely with medical and operational leadership
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for state medical licensure
• DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Interest in community engagement and practice-building
Compensation & Support
• Highly competitive compensation package
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• Generous paid time off and holidays
• Malpractice coverage
• Full operational and administrative support
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is not a replacement role. It is a chance to be a founding physician in a thoughtfully designed pediatric practice serving a community with real demand.
