Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.
Associate Pastor......This full-time position is responsible for the leadership, vision, and execution of the Kids Ministry at the Chesterfield campus. This person in this position will develop, encourage and support all volunteers and paid staff (if applicable) to ensure the campus is performing at a high capacity. This person will build relationships with kids and families and will resource and equip parents as they follow God's command to help their child know, follow and trust Jesus. This person is responsible for utilizing volunteers and paid staff (if applicable) to execute the strategies and systems of KidsCrossing to ensure activities/classes for kids and families are safe, engaging, and provide opportunity for spiritual growth. The Kids' Ministry Pastor must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead both adults and children in ministry. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for Jesus Christ, the vision of The Crossing and helping children and families take steps on their spiritual journey.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ASSOCIATE PASTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a translator of and cast vision clearly and frequently to ensure all volunteers are continuously folded into the culture of The Crossing
  • Be a skillful team builder and invest in volunteers to ensure KidsCrossing can operate at max capacity
    • Equip volunteers to feel comfortable serving in their role
    • Empower volunteers to serve in their sweet spot and utilize their gifts
    • Connect volunteers so they know they belong
    • Celebrate volunteers so they feel valued and appreciated
  • Develop a dynamic leadership team of volunteers (Coaches) that can be handed ministry responsibilities and help you lead others

Education/Training and Certificates

  • BS or BA or minimum of 5 years' experience leading kids' ministry

  • Knowledge of child development and current kids' culture
