Join our dynamic team at Airgas as a Plant Operator and play a vital role in our commitment to delivering excellence in industrial gasses and related products. As a Plant Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our production facility, including the filling of cylinders, to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Job Duties:
  • Operate and maintain equipment within our production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts, to ensure a steady supply of industrial gases.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Safely handle and transport cylinders, including filling and quality checks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the facility safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
  • Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed.
