Position Summary:
At Landscape Supply Inc. the Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator is a critical function within our warehouse environment. The experienced individual in this role will be relied upon to provide excellent customer service with each customer interaction. The balance of time is devoted to assisting in the day-to-day warehouse operations to include servicing customers through our retail sales while maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse including receiving goods and successful inventory storage. The successful candidate for this position will display dedication and responsibility for professional customer interaction and service. Customer service skills are a prime requirement followed by warehouse/forklift operations. This position involves working with a team as well as working solo. The Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator will enjoy year-round operating hours from 6:30am- 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and the occasional rotating Saturday during peak season 8:00 a.m. to 1:00pm.
Education and Experience:
  • At least 21 years old with a valid Virginia Operator's License
  • Twelve (12) months experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift experience with extensive skills in loading/unloading
  • Clear MVR with a zero point or plus point balance
  • Clear background
  • Willingness to work outdoors during all four seasons
  • Physical ability for lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and climbing in and out of the vehicle and/or forklift.
  • Lives in, or within successful commute of our Roanoke, VA location.
  • Must enjoy a great working atmosphere where the scope of the day-to-day is varied and interesting!
