Job description

Direct Mail Solutions (DMS), a leading full-service mail and logistics company based in Richmond, VA, is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Warehouse team. If you're experienced with forklifts and enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this opportunity is for you!
Pay:

$15.50-$17.00/Hourly

Position Overview:

As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a key role in handling and moving mail materials efficiently and accurately. This full-time, warehouse-based role focuses primarily on forklift operation, inventory movement, and general warehouse support.

What You'll Do:

Operate warehouse equipment to move and store materials safely. You'll be responsible for the safe and well-organized loading and unloading of trailers, using proper methods at all times.

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.

Use computerized inventory systems to track materials and manage inventory efficiently. You'll also help with regular physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.

Work closely with team members across departments. Once your core duties are complete, you'll assist in other areas of the warehouse to support the overall success of the team.

Be flexible and available for overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

Must have prior forklift experience and be able to safely operate warehouse equipment. You must pass a DMS forklift training program to become a qualified operator on all warehouse equipment.

A valid Virginia driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

You should be well-organized with strong attention to detail, capable of prioritizing your workload, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The job requires basic computer skills, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of heavier items. Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling are part of the role.

Being flexible with your work schedule is important, as some overtime may be required.

Schedule:

Day Shift: Monday - Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM (Enjoy a 3-day work week with full-time hours!)

Night Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend with full-time hours!)
