Job description

Family Guidance Center Head Start/Early Head Start is seeking candidates for a full-time Head Start Teacher Assistant at the E.M. Henry Head Start/Early Head Start Center located in Chilton County.

The Head Start Teacher Assistant shares the responsibility for the classroom along with the Head Start Teacher and works collaboratively with the Teacher, Center Operations Coordinator, children, families, and other center staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities.

Required qualifications for the position are a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or state awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate or Baccalaureate degree or are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within a year of the time of hire.
