Develops applications, implements software packages, integrates applications, and provides 24x7 application support. This role collaborates across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with primary focus on application design, development, and implementation. The position utilizes development tools and technologies aligned with enterprise IT architecture.

As a Level 4 Systems Analyst Consultant, this individual leads complex software development projects, serves as a technical subject matter expert, drives software package implementations, mentors junior staff, and functions with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Lead complex software development projects.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and business partners to develop software specifications.
  • Lead the selection and implementation of software packages requiring advanced configuration and integration.
  • Drive interaction with software vendors and vendor resources.
  • Lead application integrations involving complex interfaces.
  • Provide 24x7 primary and/or secondary support for niche, core, or mission-critical applications.
  • Coordinate application maintenance activities, including release schedules.
  • Support SDLC request and analysis phases through documentation and estimates.
  • Oversee and manage deliverables produced by junior staff.
  • Execute design, development, and implementation activities throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate on application development, support, and project teams.
  • Serve as Technical Lead on projects and oversee technical staff.
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects as required.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple business and technical areas.
  • Mentor and direct junior staff.
  • Provide feedback regarding junior staff performance.
  • Develop and promote standard practices within the team.

Leadership Responsibilities


  • Operate in a leadership role overseeing junior staff and contract resources.
  • Manage projects and functional work segments within the team.
  • Oversee day-to-day responsibilities of assigned resources.
  • May serve as backup to management in a limited capacity.

Education

Required


  • Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience beyond the minimum requirements may be considered in lieu of a degree.
