Job description

The Associate within the Record to Report team supports the accuracy and integrity of financial records through day-to-day accounting operations within the Shared Services organization. This role assists in journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting. The position contributes to maintaining compliance with accounting policies, supports internal and external audit requirements, and partners with finance teams to uphold effective and efficient record-to-report processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries while maintaining the general ledger to meet monthly and quarterly close deadlines.
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to gather, review, and validate financial data for statutory and management reporting.
  • Assist in implementing new accounting standards or regulatory changes as directed by management.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Partner with the Global Process Owner and Shared Services teams to identify and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and standardization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience

Terms /Expected Hours of Work:

This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL's third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.

Salary / Pay Range:

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
