Connected Logistics is seeking a Telecom Network Engineer to support the operating, maintaining, documenting, engineering, integrating, and making recommendations to standardize, improve and upgrade / refresh VTC, SV, IPTV/DIGITAL SIGNAGE, and SBC hardware/configurations for the Video Operation Centers (VOC), distribution of IP/TV signal to onsite devices, Digital Signage template creation and maintenance, user education Video Streaming distribution using industry standard equipment to the Agency worldwide audience as well as the recording’s life management.


The Telecom Network Engineer works under general supervision to analyze, design, implement, and maintain telecommunications systems supporting voice, video, and data services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs hands-on engineering tasks for AV/VTC network components, SBC/CUBE platforms, collaboration edge systems, E911 integrations, SIP trunking, and call routing infrastructure.
  • Executes engineering-approved configuration changes, updates, and modifications; participates in engineering-led development, maintenance, testing, and interoperability activities; and documents results to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Provides Tier 2troubleshooting and root cause analysis for voice and video transport issues, escalating complex or design-level problems to Tier 3 engineering.
  • Serves as the on-shift technical authority during assigned shifts, providing technical direction to administrators, validating administrative actions, ensuring adherence to approved procedures, and maintaining operational continuity in the absence of senior engineering staff.
  • Supports operational requirements or functions as needed due to personnel availability.
  • Supports vulnerability remediation by applying engineering-approved patches and performing post-update validation to ensure operational readiness.
  • Contributes to change management processes by preparing implementation steps, executing approved changes, and providing technical feedback to engineering teams.
  • Maintains audit-ready logs, supports continuity and failover testing, coordinates with carriers and partner agencies on technical matters, and ensures all actions align with engineering direction, network specifications, and enterprise policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Possess Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.) knowledge.
  • Possess experience working with DoD/DLA.



Requirements:
  • Must possess a BS degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering with at least one (1) year of experience in that field, OR an associate degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering with at least eight (8) years of experience (four (4) years related to telecommunications systems or networks), OR an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and directly related experience.
  • Must possess a relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification), or other comparable industry credential supporting telecommunications and network operations.
  • Must have experience in the analysis and design of voice/video networks, LAN/WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems supporting voice/video and data services.
  • Must possess an IT-I Critical Sensitive clearance or Tier 5 (T5) at the time of proposal submission
