The Shipping Associate 1 position is an entry-level position in which specific tasks will be explained and expected to be followed. Training for various types of packing will be given and the Shipping Associate 1 will then need to successfully perform those tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Properly pack and identify tote and tool contents.
- Perform packing procedures relevant to proper containerization of mills for transport.
- Uses construction type tools and equipment with ease.
- Dependable in attendance, learning, and performance.
- Works closely with Supervisors, and Co-Workers.
- Can physically perform job duties.
- Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift.
- Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager.
• Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
• Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.
