This role collaborates with other members of the engineering and production teams to develop drawings and specifications for existing and new design projects and designs mechanical systems and/or machinery utilizing design and ERP software.
Responsibilities
  • Create and/or provide supporting documentation including models, drawings, bill of materials, quotes and engineering summaries utilizing CAD Systems and ERP software
  • Prepare and complete product documentation (i.e. manuals, work instructions, assembly instructions, data sheets, etc.)
  • Manage Bill of Material (BOM) and parts list repository
  • Conducts assigned projects ensuring that work is completed within budgetary and time constraints while meeting customer and contractual demands.
  • Assess customer requirements, evaluate engineering design, and create complete drawing packages
  • Create hydraulic and pneumatic schematics utilizing design tools

Qualifications
  • 3 + years of experience (0+ years of experience for Associate level candidates)
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college in Engineering or relevant field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent
  • Certifications in SolidWorks (i.e. CSWA, CSWP, CSWE, CPPA, etc.), Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering (PE), preferred
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills (i.e., can conduct root cause analysis, make recommendations, and track results)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to write and document all manufacturing process, inspection, and testing procedures
  • Capability to effectively communicate, coach, and train shop floor team members on processing information
  • Strong knowledge of electronics components and electronic assemblies
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel
  • Ability to lift 25 Pounds, on occasion up to 50 Pounds
