Job description

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily activities and safe operation of all tools, equipment and personnel within a designated area. Responsible for developing and managing schedules, assignments, goals and performance metrics for all individuals and teams under their direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determines and distributes individual assignments for work activities based on production priorities and ensures work assignments are completed correctly and on time.
  • Reads and interprets work orders; work instructions; process specifications, or engineering drawings to verify conformance of final work product.
  • Ensures associates adhere to work instructions and operating procedures.
  • Trains, develops, and motivates associates on all tasks within the specific area of responsibility, and assists with on-the-job training (OJT) of employees.
  • Sets individual goals and objectives and provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain a work environment that is both positive and creative, demonstrating profound respect for the individual.
  • Works closely with the safety team to identify, call-out and eliminate potential hazards and ensures that all persons under his/her direct report adhere to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Steps in to perform all managed functions as production demands dictate.

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment required
  • Previous experience managing associates required

Education – Associates degree in business or related field strongly preferred

Licenses & Certifications – None required


Monday- Thursday 5:50AM-4:20PM; Fridays when on OT
