WAGO Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support daily manufacturing and warehouse operations by performing hands-on technical support and troubleshooting across manufacturing, advanced Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), and various PLC systems. This role reports to the Technical Supervisor and works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • 5 years of relevant experience in electronic or mechanical manufacturing environments
  • Diploma, associate degree, or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems, including the ability to open and navigate PLC programs, understand basic logic (ladder or structured text) and use PLC software as a troubleshooting tool to identify faults, monitor I/O and support equipment diagnostics
  • Strong technical knowledge of automated assembly, mechanical assembly, placement machine programming, machine wiring and testing
  • Experience with industrial equipment such as motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and automated production equipment
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or technical support role within a medium production environment
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with ASRS warehouse systems and automated material handling equipment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, work orders, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to perform diagnostics and repairs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with operators, technicians, and engineering teams and work effectively as part of a coordinated team
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP ERP experience is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on technical support to maintain equipment for Electronic Assembly, Solutions, Mechanical Assembly, and ASRS operations
  • Assist operators and technicians by troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime
  • Use PLC software tools to support troubleshooting activities, including monitoring inputs/outputs, reviewing program logic, and assisting in identifying root causes of equipment issues
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot the Automated Storage and Retrieval System
  • Document work in CMMS and follow LOTO / Safety standards
  • Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills (24VDC, 120/208/240/480V Systems)
  • Work with ME team to support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, defects, and opportunities for increased productivity and quality
  • Follow and promote compliance with safety regulations, quality standards (ISO 9001), and company procedures
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting, coordinating with maintenance and engineering as needed
  • Accurately complete documentation and reports to support traceability and compliance
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by assisting engineering and quality teams during launches and trials
  • Escalate recurring issues, safety concerns, or systemic problems to the Technical Supervisor
