Job description

Job's mission

The Mechanical DesignerΒ is responsibleΒ forΒ creating,Β maintaining, and managing detailed mechanical designs, 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and product documentation for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role works closely with mechanical engineers and cross-functional teams to translate engineering concepts into manufacturable designs andΒ releasedΒ product documentation.Β 

The Mechanical Designer / Drafter plays a critical role in supporting product development, configuration management, prototype builds, and manufacturing release activities while ensuring compliance with company standards, drafting practices, and engineering requirements.Β 

What you will be working on

  • Create andΒ maintainΒ 3D CAD models, assemblies, layouts, and detailed drawings using Creo or equivalent CAD tools.Β 
  • GenerateΒ component, assembly, fabrication, and installation drawingsΒ in accordance withΒ engineering standards and drafting practices.Β 
  • Develop andΒ maintainΒ Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures, and related documentation.Β 
  • Incorporate engineering requirements, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints into design documentation.Β 
  • AssistΒ in packaging studies, layout development, and equipment configuration activities.Β 

Engineering DocumentationΒ 

  • Prepare complete engineering release packages, including drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation.Β 
  • Maintain drawing revisions and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.Β 
  • ProcessΒ EngineeringΒ Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Β

Cross-Functional CollaborationΒ

What we are looking for

  • Associate'sΒ orΒ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or related technical field.Β 
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or CAD modeling.Β 
  • ProficiencyΒ with Creo Parametric or equivalent 3D CAD software.Β 
  • Experience creating detailed engineering drawings and mechanical assemblies.Β 
  • Understanding ofΒ GD&T principles and engineering drawing standards.Β 
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.Β
