We're seeking someone who is naturally curious, analytical, and excited by the opportunity to solve business challenges that impact customers and communities. As an Associate Market Solutions Manager, you'll work closely with Market Solutions Managers and cross-functional partners to support the development, enhancement, and management of products and services that drive value for our members and clients.

In this role, you'll help identify opportunities to improve existing products and services by gathering insights, analyzing data and market trends, and contributing to product and business strategies. Qualifications

Associate Market Solutions Manager

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or direct and equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of benefit design/administration or understanding, health insurance, financial services, or similar corporate experience with exposure to product/underwriting/or research. Experience should reflect the ability to support the development, management, and delivery of complex projects.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Natural curiosity, business intuition, and financial acumen.
  • Willingness to approach problems from different perspectives to produce creative, innovative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail. Ability to analyze information, evaluate workflows/processes, recognize interdependencies, and make decisions that align with product strategies and balance customer and stakeholder needs.
  • Understanding of customer needs and ability to translate these into competitive products and services.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to share insights or recommendations with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and promote collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

Market Solutions Manager

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience.
  • 1+ year of product development, product management, or similar experience that reflects general knowledge of the product development lifecycle, strategic planning, and ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data, solve problems, and independently make decisions. Must be able to connect the dots and draw conclusions from data to provide recommendations that support corporate strategies.

Additional Information

a.Work with Market Solution Managers, Sr/Lead Market Solution Managers, and cross-functional teams to ideate and develop new products/services or enhancements. Support the evaluation and execution needs with research (investigates facts, issues, etc.), planning and development (e.g. SWOT), and documentation for varying products/product strategies. Provide analysis that supports recommendations for strategic planning and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure product strategies are aligned to our corporate initiatives.
b. Assist in the day-to-day management/maintenance of assigned products. Work with Market Solution Managers and Sr/Lead Market Solution Managers to update/maintain the product roadmap. Translate roadmap into detailed requirements. Participate in planning and progress meetings. Keep stakeholders informed of progress.
c. Support the strategic governance model with key stakeholders to build holistic product recommendations and gain leadership buy-in as appropriate. In partnership with Market Solution Managers or Sr/Lead Market Solution Managers, assist with product analysis and the prep/development of strategy documents.
d. Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer/stakeholder/market requirements. Collaborate with Market Insights team to identify data needs to help optimize product portfolio and product performance. Support any research needs as a business subject matter expert to decisions related to product development, management, or enhancements. Keep up to date with industry issues, competitor products, and apply knowledge of the health and well-being industry and Wellmark’s marketplace to develop recommendations.
e. Assist in the collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the products are implemented efficiently and the execution of the go-tomarket strategy is successful. Includes the ability to support key drivers of project management effectiveness: meet deadlines, logically solve problems; recognize and mitigate risks, coordinate the business resources needed for subject matter expertise, and facilitate consensus among stakeholders.
f. Assist in the support of implementation and ongoing operations of market segment products, programs, and projects. Provide subject matter expertise and/or serve as a team member of the applicable agile product team.
g. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization to ensure product strategies are aligned to our corporate initiatives.
h. Assist with regulatory compliance related activities. Manage risks, resolve issues with guidance, and follows up on tasks/actions. Develop detailed understanding of requirements.
i. Impact customer satisfaction by assisting with the development of products and services that are focused on providing a holistic and streamlined experience for the customer. 
j. Support internal and external education and training to ensure that teams have a full understanding of Wellmark’s health and wellbeing products.
k. Assist in conversations and work to connect the work within marketing, sales, network, pharmacy, health services, provider relations, operations, and other key stakeholders as needed. Work with business areas to ensure products and market initiatives are implemented appropriately and accurately portrayed in communication mediums to customers, distribution channels, and others.
l. Assist with maintaining relationships and fulfillment of deliverables with vendors, customers and/or other external partners. 
m. Ensure that standard operating procedures exist for all processes that are in place for existing products as well as when new products/enhancements are introduced into the market.
n. Other duties as assigned.
