Associate Product Manager, Personal Care & Household

Department:

Global Product Innovation & Management

Reports to:

Director, Essential Oils & Personal Care

Job Description:

Contributes to the market research, ideation, management, development, and marketing of Personal Care & Household products. Owns assigned pieces of the product lifecycle - not full category strategy - working under the direction of the Director to execute the roadmap. This role is for consumer packaged goods (CPG), not digital product.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the product development process for Personal Care & Household products, including formula, packaging, positioning, and marketing.
  • Organizes product files and launch schedules for new products.
  • Ensures constant communication between the product team and other departments, including purchasing, operations, R&D, regulatory, and creative services.
  • Owns assigned product revisions, reformulations, and new product development workstreams, coordinating with the project management team as directed.
  • Researches competitive products in the personal care and household space - identifies and evaluates product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintains research databases.
  • Assists in the creation of business plans, content for marketing materials, PowerPoint presentations, and market research tools.
  • Accomplishes goals through ownership and accountability; explores opportunities to add value to department and company goals.
  • Travel: Up to 10% travel required, including company events such as Global Convention and leadership forums.
Job Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of product development and management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or progress toward a marketing, business, or communications degree preferred.
  • Some knowledge of the personal care or household products industry is preferred.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for and interest in a marketing or product development career.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality throughout the product development process.
  • Proven writing skills.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
