At Newk's Eatery, we're looking for a motivated and energetic Associate Manager who is passionate about hospitality, team development, and operational excellence. As an Associate Manager, you'll partner with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, develop team members, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and help drive sales and profitability.


What You'll Do

Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding food quality and guest service

Coach, motivate, and develop team members through hands-on leadership

Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees

Create a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture

Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and health department standards are maintained

Help manage labor, scheduling, inventory, and food costs

Monitor cash handling, POS accuracy, and restaurant security procedures

Support execution of promotions, new menu rollouts, and operational initiatives

Address guest concerns quickly and professionally

Step in to oversee restaurant operations when the General Manager is unavailable


We're Looking For

Previous restaurant leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Shift Lead or Certified Trainer experience encouraged to apply

Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills

Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality

Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Organized, dependable, and results-oriented

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and restaurant POS systems

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)


Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the restaurant

Work in varying temperatures, including kitchen and cooler environments

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
