Job description

Compensation Pay Range:
$43,896.00 - $65,000.00
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
The Associate Manager will assist the Store Manager in areas of sales, profitability, appearance, and overall operations of the store.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supervise either wholesale or retail operations of the store and team members involved.
Responsible for supervising work performed by all team members assigned to store/HUB store.
Work jointly with the District Manager and Store Manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members under his/her supervision.
Communicate & discuss information conveyed by the company to all store team members.
Train new team members and handle performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
Responsible for ensuring all team members continually improve their skills through training on company policies and procedures, customer service, computer operations, catalogs, sales and safety.
May be assigned a schedule for making weekly customer calls.
Support the Store Manager in an area of store operations as assigned including store accounting/daily report, daily invoice checking, inventory control, etc.
Responsible for store/vehicle maintenance, performance, and appearance of delivery fleet. Maintain records for each vehicle.
Ensure staff is keeping store/HUB store neat, clean, and organized at all times.
Maintain electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll.
Utilize the installer pricing system to manage gross profit, while maximizing commercial sales.
Monitor commercial returns for core and warranty abuse.
Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use.
Responsible for other duties as assigned by store, district, and/or regional manager, which may include various payroll, accounting, DC or other operational areas.
Work directly with the assistant management team to ensure all team members receive appropriate training in all areas.
May serve as City Delivery Supervisor. Supervise HUB store staff to ensure accuracy, maintain efficiency, and provide a high level of customer service. Coordinate and oversee city route schedules, functions, and deliveries from "HUB" store to area stores. Duties may include ensuring that all orders are picked and delivered efficiently, researching and solving any customer questions, problems and complaints, coordinating efforts of staff to maximize efficiency, etc.
Assist with scheduling workload, team member work schedules and time off (vacations, personal, etc.) scheduling proper amount of help ensuring customers receive best service possible.
Ensure a high degree of safety is maintained by store staff and drivers at all times.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Completion of the Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, Manager Development Program, and Installer Service Specialist
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems
Desired:
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
ASE Certification
