  • Join a dynamic team responsible for Hardware Configuration Management (CM) activities related to the design, development, and production of complex systems in a defense environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity of product designs by managing changes to approved configurations through systematic, measurable processes.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to maintain engineering technical data packages and ensure adherence to rigorous quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Hardware Configuration Management (CM) activities supporting the design, development, and production of complex defense systems.
  • Manage and track changes to approved configurations using a systematic, measurable change process.
  • Deliver and maintain the engineering technical data package (TDP) and apply CM processes in accordance with the established CM Plan.
  • Support internal and external configuration management and quality audits.
  • Develop practical solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity, using guidance from company policies and procedures.

Minimum qualifications
  • Technical Associate's Degree or 4 years of equivalent practical experience in Configuration Management.
  • 2 years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Experience using a Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite to prepare metrics, reports, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) for interfacing with internal personnel, customers, and suppliers.

Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline or 8 years of equivalent experience in Configuration Management.
  • Experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) sector.
  • Proficiency with PTC Windchill.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas.
  • Proven experience managing Bill of Materials (BOM) structures.
  • Formal training or certification in Configuration Data Management (CDM).
  • General knowledge of relevant CM and design engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and documentation (e.g., MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000, EIA-649, ASME Y14.24, and ASME Y14.100).
  • Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) requirements.
