PositionSummaryand Role Impact:
The Senior Accountant -FlowLendingis responsible forsupporting accounting and financial reporting for the Flow Lending portfolio, including consumer installment loans originated through strategic partner relationships orpurchasedfrom lending partners. This role owns key components of the close process, including preparation and review of reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules, while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data. The Senior Accountant partners closely with the AVP, Accounting Services and cross-functional teams across operations, servicing, and finance to resolve complex issues, analyze portfolio performance, and strengthen accounting processes. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, sound accounting judgment, and the ability tooperatewith a high degree of independence while contributing to continuous improvement in reconciliation, reporting, and close processes.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares and reviews complex account reconciliations supporting the Flow Lending subledger-to-general ledger process

  • Prepares and reviews journal entries and supporting schedules

  • Performs detailed variance analysis andidentifiesdrivers of fluctuations

  • Partners with operations and finance teams to resolve complex discrepancies

  • Supports preparation and enhancement of business line reporting

  • Appliesaccounting policies to routine and moderately complex transactions

  • Prepares and reviews audit support documentation

  • Identifiesandimplementsprocess improvements

  • UsesExcel and reporting tools for portfolio analysis

  • Provides guidance to junior team members

Requirements for Success:

Education & Experience

Required:

Candidates should meet one of the following:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field with2+years of progressive accounting experience

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience in lieu of a degree

In addition, candidates should have:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting fundamentals, with the ability to apply them to moderately complex transactions and scenarios

  • Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual-based accounting

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues, including identifying root causes and recommending solutions

  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a deadline-driven environment

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis techniques

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with loan accounting, installment lending, or consumer finance portfolios

  • Experience in subledger-driven or high-volume accounting environments

  • Familiarity with interest income recognition, amortization, deferred fees, and loan lifecycle concepts

  • Experience supporting close processes in a business line or divisional accounting structure

  • Experience improving reconciliation processes, close timelines, or reporting accuracy

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

  • Background in financial services, fintech, banking, or lending organizations

  • Experience reviewing work or providing guidance to junior team members
