As the Business Lending Acquisitions Director within Optum Bank Small Business Lending, you will lead lending growth by owning the customer acquisition strategy while serving as the central quarterback between the Lending Product and Marketing teams. You will support both small- and large-dollar lending to deliver integrated, high-impact marketing programs that improve customer acquisition, experience, and product adoption. You will operate at the intersection of product, acquisitions, digital, and marketing execution, ensuring the right expertise is deployed to every lending initiative. You will Oversee multi-channel loan acquisition budgets (SEM, paid social, affiliates, SEO) to drive qualified traffic to small business lending products.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end acquisition strategy across lending products (small- and large-dollar), including demand generation, conversion, and optimization
  • Build a multi-quarter and multi-year marketing acquisition roadmap targeting new and existing Business customers, leveraging digital marketing channels to drive product awareness, understanding, and conversion
  • Identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end customer experience in partnership with product and business teams
  • Partner with Analytics, Modeling, and Lending teams to identify target audiences
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret campaign performance metrics; leverage learnings to inform future strategies Oversee reporting on marketing funnel performance
  • Partner with competitive intelligence teams to monitor competitor offers, creative, and channel activity
  • Partner with research teams to lead projects that better understand how our products and messaging resonate with target audiences
  • Act as the primary liaison to Lending Product, translating product priorities into marketing plans Coordinate across marketing functions to ensure the right SMEs are engaged
  • Bridging the gap between the marketing, product engineering, user experience (UX), and risk/compliance teams
  • Grow and develop a small team of acquisition analysts

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of marketing strategy experience; lending experience
  • Experience with Data & AI Utilization to drive acquisition
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively
  • In depth knowledge of banking/ lending regulations
  • Conversion & Funnel Optimization: Demonstrated ability to analyze user drop-off points using journey maps to create frictionless, intuitive, and digital-first borrower onboarding flows
  • Proven  solid written and oral presentation skills, with the ability to convey information simply and clearly to users and business partners
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $134,600 - $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
