Associate Attorney - Probate 

Seattle, WA (100% In-Office) $125,000 - $153,000 Base Salary + Comprehensive Benefits

I'm partnering with a well-established and highly respected Washington law firm to identify a Probate Associate for its Estate Planning & Probate Practice Group.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who wants to work on sophisticated high net worth probate and estate administration matters while receiving hands-on mentorship from experienced partners. The firm is seeking a self-starter who enjoys both the technical side of trusts and estates work and the relationship-building side of legal practice.

If you're looking for a role where you'll have meaningful client interaction, increasing responsibility, and the opportunity to become a strategic advisor on complex estate matters, this position offers an exceptional platform for growth.

What You'll Do

  • Administer taxable estates and complex probate matters
  • Prepare trust and estate accountings
  • Assist with estate, fiduciary, and related tax return preparation
  • Draft probate pleadings, legal correspondence, and related documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis in support of client matters
  • Advise personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, and family members
  • Work directly with partners on sophisticated estate administration matters
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service

Qualifications

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar
  • Experience administering taxable estates
  • Experience preparing trust and estate accountings
  • Experience with estate and fiduciary tax returns
  • Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff

  • LL.M. in Taxation
