Pay Range: $30.65 - $45.98
Summary:
The RN Laser Specialist II performs laser procedures, collaborates with providers, and recommends improvements. The specialist obtains patient history and completes assessments to evaluate the patient's condition and needs. This position identifies unmet customer needs or complaints and provides patient and family with appropriate education to optimize understand.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Obtains meaningful history on patients an completes assessments in determining or evaluating patient's aesthetic laser needs according to standard operating procedure. Documents health-related intervention and recommendations.
  • Performs laser procedures and collaborates with provider to assure optimal laser results for the patient.
  • Identifies unmet customer needs, recommends improvements or enhancements to meet those needs and makes call backs as appropriate. Notifies Manager of any potential problems in regard to patient complaints, unsatisfactory outcomes, special needs or requests.
  • Provides patient/patient's family with appropriate education based on identified needs to optimize patient/patient's family understanding. Assesses patient's knowledge and understanding of patient teaching instructions.
  • Administers medication using the 6 Rights and according to standard operating procedure. Documents in the chart all authorized medications .
  • Identifies high risk situations and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
  • Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Certification
  • Registered Nurse | North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement | Prior to Start Date | HR Primary Sources
  • Registered Nurse | Minnesota Board of Nursing | Within 12 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources
  • Laser Technician | National Laser Institute | Within 3 Months of Start Date | Employee Provides Copy
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date | Learning Management System

Qualification/Education:
  • 6 years or more RN experience with ASN Degree OR,
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Notes:
  • Eligible to serve as Charge Nurse and Chair or Co-Chair Nursing Committee; Trained Peer Interviewer
  • Temporary RN license accepted prior to start.
  • Must hold an unencumbered nursing license prior to start.
