We are looking for our next Key Account Manager within our Industrial Cellulosics Team, part of Roquette Bioindustry. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a territory of existing industrial customers in North America and at the same time exploring and developing new markets, customers and applications.

This position is located in Wilmington, DE or homebased.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $120,000-$165,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver the sales plan on a customer and territory level
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in the customer organization
  • Develop in-depth understanding of customer needs and capabilities
  • Create, maintain, and progress an opportunity pipeline to drive above-market growth in the territory
  • Scout new potential customers in previously unknown industrial markets and/or new applications.
  • Adapt product value proposition to new applications, as needed
  • Hands on profile (compose commercial proposals for existing and new customers, coordinating trials at potential customers, conduct business reviews with existing customers, accurately forecast customer demand, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish new commercial relationships fast as well as new internal relationships with regional teams around the global

What You'll Need:

Education:

  • Chemistry or technical background/degree combined with at least 5 years in sales/application development/customer facing roles
  • Experience in markets like coatings, paints, ceramics, paper would be considered as a strong plus

Work Environment

This role spends approximately 80% of the time with customers, distribution partners etc

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.

Business Travel

  • Travel will be required when working with customers throughout US.
  • Occasional international travel may be expected.
