A premier global law firm is seeking a Corporate (M&A / Energy & Infrastructure) Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing strategic companies, private equity sponsors, infrastructure funds, developers, investors, and financial institutions in sophisticated mergers and acquisitions and energy & infrastructure transactions.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of corporate transactional experience with a focus on M&A and energy & infrastructure transactions gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing strategic buyers, sellers, private equity sponsors, infrastructure funds, developers, institutional investors, and portfolio companies

• Experience handling public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, strategic investments, and complex corporate transactions

• Experience advising clients on renewable energy, conventional energy, power, utilities, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, transportation, or large-scale development projects

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, operating agreements, and related transaction documents

• Experience coordinating due diligence, transaction management, regulatory considerations, and multi-party deal execution

• Familiarity with project development, project finance, tax equity structures, or infrastructure investment transactions is a plus

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials
