Job description

We’re seeking a senior-level Piping Design Technician Specialist to lead piping design quality and execution across complex industrial projects. This role serves as a technical authority, ensuring designs are code-compliant, constructible, and aligned with project scope, schedule, and safety standards.

Pay: $52.00- $68.00 per hour DOE

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead piping design efforts or serve as QA/QC authority on projects
  • Review and guide 3D model-based designs (Revit/CADWorx)
  • Ensure compliance with piping codes, standards, and specifications
  • Coordinate across disciplines to resolve design and constructability challenges
  • Identify risks early and drive design improvements
  • Support estimating, scheduling, and change management
  • Mentor junior designers and support global workshare teams

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s degree in CAD, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 12–15+ years of piping design/engineering experience in industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, B31.3, and related piping codes
  • Experience with Revit and/or CADWorx Plant
  • Proven leadership or technical authority experience
  • Strong understanding of constructability, safety, and cost control
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

Bonus:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing experience
  • Pipe stress coordination knowledge
  • Experience mentoring teams and supporting global projects
