Data Analytics Analyst II
Position Summary
The Data Analytics Analyst II serves as a business analytics partner responsible for translating business processes, objectives, and performance goals into meaningful analytics solutions. This role works independently with business stakeholders to define requirements, establish KPI definitions, support data governance, validate reporting solutions, and align analytics initiatives with organizational priorities.
The Analyst II works closely with Data Analytics Developers and Engineers to ensure analytics solutions are based on trusted business definitions, consistent data standards, and clear reporting priorities. This role requires strong business acumen, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and the ability to lead moderately complex analytics initiatives from concept through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders and functional stakeholders to identify analytics opportunities, reporting needs, and performance improvement priorities.
  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for dashboards, reports, analytical applications, and self-service analytics solutions.
  • Define, document, and maintain enterprise KPI definitions, business metrics, and reporting standards.
  • Support the development and maintenance of business semantic models by defining business rules, data relationships, and reporting logic.
  • Lead data governance activities including data definitions, ownership, stewardship, and data quality issue resolution.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions regarding data quality, reporting consistency, and business process alignment.
  • Perform business process analysis to identify opportunities for improved analytics, automation, and decision support.
  • Validate analytical solutions against business requirements and approved definitions.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and support change management for analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics Developers and Engineers to prioritize requirements and ensure business needs are clearly understood.
  • Promote adoption of self-service analytics capabilities and data-driven decision making.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and data literacy resources.
  • Serve as a resource to junior analysts and business users on analytics practices, reporting standards, and data interpretation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, analytics, reporting, ERP analysis, operations analysis, finance analysis, supply chain analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, operational performance metrics, and enterprise reporting needs.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into analytics or reporting solutions.
  • Experience with reporting, analytics, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and business context.
