The College of Osteopathic Medicine at Xavier University (XUCOM), a Catholic University in the Jesuit tradition, invites applications for a 12-month position beginning in the late summer/early fall 2026.TheMedical Education Specialist assists inthe development and coordination of elements related totheOffice of Medical Education, including the administration of thefirst-year DOpre-clinicalcurriculumas well as theMaster of Arts in Biomedical Sciencecurriculum.This position supportsfaculty classroom instruction and testing includingthe compiling and formatting of exams,administeringexams,assistinginmaintainingaccurategrades, posting of all teaching materialsto Canvas courses,and administering class assessments.This position works closely withthe Associate DeanforCurricular Assessment and Quality and reports to the Director of Medical Education. TheMedical Education Specialist will have significant interaction with both students and faculty, and an amicable,professional demeanor is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact with students, faculty, colleagues, and administration to support the learning of all students within the COM
  • Assist with assessment-related efforts including the creation and management of course and faculty evaluations, updating curriculum maps.
  • Support information collection and flow for learning management system (Canvas) data and assessment management systems
  • Support data entry and ground level assessment information and processing for the Associate Deans.
  • Maintainingconfidentiality and attention to detail are essential.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in higher education is preferred.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
