Job description

Education Support Associate Summer Programming

ADMINISTRATORS:  Director of Teaching & Learning

FUNDING SOURCE: 21st Century 509-9026,  509-9016, Title I 572-9026, DPIA 001-9226, SWF 001-9025

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited program in Education or a related field
  • Preference given to Shaw High School graduates
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with the team
  • Pass required background checks
  • Experience working with small groups and hands-on teaching experience

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Assist with instructional and classroom support
  • Help maintain an orderly classroom environment and student engagement
  • Support student attendance, meals, transportation, and field trips
  • Assist in collecting and organizing program data and reporting
  • Contribute to planning and implementing enrichment activities
  • Assist with safety drills and safety procedures

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Summer 2026

  • Dates:      June 4 - July 24, 2026
  • Hours:      7:35 AM - 3:35 PM
  • Stipend:     $25 per hour, not to exceed $5,000 per session
