About the Business You’ll Support – Hardscape.com

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the daily operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle NetSuite or similar platforms, and strong analytical and organizational skills.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: 

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients. Receive and review vendor bills and prepare checks or payments for processing.
  • Support management during the monthly accounting close process.
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting and finance team as needed. 

Skills We Are Seeking
  • Technical degree or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
