Job description

Job Title: Retail Sales Associate
Location: North Fort Myers (North Fort Myers, FL)
Employment Type: Part Time
Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team and help create a welcoming shopping and donation experience for our community. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and a willingness to assist wherever needed. This role includes helping customers on the sales floor, operating registers and processing transactions, and being cross-trained to support backdoor donation operations to ensure an efficient and positive experience for customers and donors alike.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting shoppers on the floor, and creating a welcoming store environment.
  • Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently while processing customer purchases.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising presentation standards.
  • Cross-train to support backdoor operations and safely handle incoming donations as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Experience handling cash, and utilizing cash registers, credit card machines, and POS systems preferred.
  • Able to follow pricing guidelines established in the pricing guide.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
