Compensation: $30-$35/hour

Position Summary:

The Assistant General Manager reports to the General Manager and Associate General Manager and is responsible for the following tasks related to each show to which they are assigned, which may or may not be further defined by the General Manager and Associate General Manager of any particular show:


The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting and supporting the General Manager and Associate General Manager in managing the operations of a Production. The Assistant General Manager is generally responsible for tasks similar to those of an Associate General Manager but on a smaller scale and scope. Specifically, this means preparing small-scale and limited budgets; assisting with any developmental sessions; coordinating travel, housing, and related needs; preparing the box office build; negotiating limited deals and drafting deal memos and riders; attending Production-related meetings; collaborating closely with and in support of the Production's Company Management team; and completing other tasks which serve to set up and maintain the operations of the Production.


The Assistant General Manager functions as an integral member of the general management team, supporting both the General Manager and Associate General Manager. In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, the Assistant General Manager may be asked to assist with duties assigned to the Associate General Manager (i.e. larger budgets, top-line creative contracts, etc.) which work would involve supervision and review by the General Manager and Associate General Manager.

It is acknowledged that the Assistant General Manager is working on multiple productions at once and will have various competing priorities. All parties, including the General Manager, Associate General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Company Management team, will remain in close communication throughout a Production's life to ensure a proper level of attention to and management of the Production from all managers on the Production, which may mean that individual responsibilities shift and transition from time to time.
