ABOUT THE TEAM: 
Walmart-VIZIOโ€™s Embedded Software organization develops cross-platform UI application experiences for millions of Smart TV customers. Our teams build high-performance, visually polished interfaces running on embedded Linux-based devices. As part of our unified engineering organization, you will collaborate closely with product, design, platform, and system engineering groups to deliver exceptional endโ€‘to-end consumer experiences. 
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO: 
  • Develop and enhanceโ€ฏUI applicationsโ€ฏrunning on an embedded Linux environment. 
  • Implement features within the UI engine and application stack with a focus on performance, smooth rendering, and system stability. 
  • Contribute to design discussions and support development of distributed UI architecture components. 
  • Build solutions that meetโ€ฏperformance, memory, and device-level constraintsโ€ฏacross various SoCs. 
  • Investigate and resolve issues across UI layers, middleware, and system integration points. 
  • Collaborate with product, design, QA, and platform teams to ensure alignment on requirements and expected behaviors. 
  • Participate in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 
ABOUT YOU: 
  • REQUIRED: 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. 
  • 4+ years of experience withโ€ฏC++โ€ฏor another systemsโ€‘level programming language. 
  • Experience withโ€ฏUI frameworks, rendering pipelines, or embedded UI systems
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving skills and ability to understand complex system interactions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver highโ€‘quality code with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fastโ€‘moving engineering environment. 
  • PREFERRED: 
  • Experience developing UI applications forโ€ฏconsumer electronicsโ€ฏor embedded products. 
  • Familiarity with React Native, React, or similar crossโ€‘platform UI technologies. 
  • Understanding ofโ€ฏGPU utilization, rendering optimization, or hardwareโ€‘accelerated graphics. 
  • Experience working withโ€ฏresourceโ€‘constrainedโ€ฏorโ€ฏmemoryโ€‘limitedโ€ฏsystems. 
  • Exposure to game loops, animation frameworks, or rendering stacks in embedded UI environments. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
