Job description

MLB Network seeks a Freelance Summer Content Associate to provide support to the production and media delivery processes, as assigned. The Content Associate must possess a high-level knowledge of baseball, be highly organized and have writing experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Write metadata in support of game highlights.
  • Deliver video elements to specified recipient.
  • Spot check videos on https://www.littleleague.org/world-series/ and report issues
  • Communicate with internal and external partners using Slack
  • Other such duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 0 to 1 years' business or related experience is required.
  • Must demonstrate a passion for and knowledge of baseball.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be extremely organized, demonstrate initiative and an ability to complete multiple assignments in a timely manner.
  • Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in a pressurized live television environment.
  • Possess the manual dexterity needed to effectively create required work product.
  • Possess the visual acuity needed to effectively create required work product.
  • Possess the auditory acuity needed to effectively create required work product.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate distances of various lengths within the work environment. 

Education:

  • Current students or recent graduates seeking a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Broadcast/Journalism/Television Production degree is highly preferred.

Position Reports to:

  • Supervisor, Media Operations

Pay Range: $25/hour
