Job description

Presidio, Where Teamwork and Innovation Shape the Future
At Presidio, we're at the forefront of a global technology revolution, transforming industries through cutting-edge digital solutions and next-generation AI. We empower businesses - and their internal customers - to achieve more through innovation, automation, and intelligent insights.
The Role
As an Associate Engineer at Presidio, you will contribute to production code for enterprise clients from day one, with support from senior engineers, architects, and delivery leads. As you ramp, you will move from supported contributions toward owning features end to end and see your work go live across multiple client engagements, industries, and technology stacks.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Ship clean, reliable code that runs in production and that your teammates can build on without second-guessing.
  • Turn rough requirements into working features by breaking problems down, asking sharp questions, and closing the loop fast.
  • Catch bugs before clients do by writing and running tests as a normal part of how you deliver.
  • Track down the root cause of tough issues, fix them, and raise blockers early so the engagement keeps moving.
  • Strengthen the whole team through honest code reviews, visible progress, and early warnings when something looks risky.
  • Expand your range every sprint by picking up new languages, frameworks, cloud services, and AI-assisted tools as the work calls for them.

Required Skills and Professional Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and / or military experience
  • 1 - 2 years building software, whether through a job, internship, co-op, bootcamp, or substantial academic and personal projects.
  • Working fluency in at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C#/.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go.
  • Hands-on experience with Git and version control in a shared codebase.
  • A real testing instinct: you write and validate tests because you want your work to hold up, not because someone told you to.
  • Clear communication and a learning mindset: you say where things stand, ask when you are stuck, and turn feedback into progress quickly.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 0-10% as engagement needs require.

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience:
  • Exposure to back-end or front-end frameworks like Spring, FastAPI, ASP.NET, React, or Angular.
  • Familiarity with APIs and RESTful or service-oriented patterns.
  • Experience with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, or Jenkins.
  • Exposure to relational or NoSQL data stores such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
  • Curiosity about AI-assisted development and modern engineering tools.
