This is a part time- partial benefited position


Job Summary: The purpose and objective of this position is to greet, register and assign rooms to guests of the Institute in a courteous and professional manner. The  Overnight Front Desk Associate  is responsible for furnishing guests with information about daily Institute activities, meetings, schedules, etc. The  Overnight Front Desk Associate  is responsible for settling the day's business and securing the building.


Essential Responsibilities: 

Guest registration (room assignment, payment, special needs, etc.)

Guest services (creating keys, messages, inquiries, etc.)

Knowledge and use of Salesforce database (daily settlement, payments, room charges and changes, and reconciles shift transactions)

Administrative duties as required (printing, faxing, copying, etc.)

Basic accounting tasks and basic cleaning duties

Nightly facility lock-up and Morning unlocking of facility. Clearing of Alarm system as needed.

Maintain knowledge and understanding of the Institute's mission, history, organization, and current events.


Other Responsibilities:

Assist conference services and programs department (printing, handing out name tags, AV system)

Assist with preparing classroom by picking up trash, sweeping floor, and emptying trash cans.

Position will need to be available to work other Hospitality departments (ex: coffee shop).

Other duties as assigned.



Requirements

Competency or position requirements:

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to process multiple tasks at one time

Position requires overnight shifts, weekends, and some Holidays. Night shift mixed with one afternoon shift

Good verbal and written communication skills

Professional and friendly telephone etiquette

Basic computer and switchboard skills


Physical Factors (environment): (lifting, standing, sitting, sounds, chemicals, hazards, etc.)

Must be able to stay awake through entire night shift (3rd shift hours)

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time (in excess of 6 hours)

Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.

Must be able to acclimate to varying temperatures


Quality or Quantity Standards: The Institute expects integrity, professionalism and high-quality work from all employees.

Required Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience in hospitality or service industry, basic knowledge of computers and answering phones. 

Required Experience:  Previous experience in Hospitality is a plus.

Work Schedule:  Position requires overnight shifts, weekends, and some Holidays.
