Job description

POSITION SUMMARYย 
Under the direction of the Principal, the Food Service Coordinator is responsible for the preparation andย serving of all meals; Managing the food service production and delivery system, including purchase andย inventory of food and supplies; Ensuring conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivityย standards; and training and supervising food service staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience with academic major in specified areas (food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, culinary arts, business, or related field); OR Bachelor's degree in any area with Staterecognized certificate for school nutrition directors; OR Associate's degree or equivalent experience with academic major in specified areas and at least one year of experience with relevant school nutrition programs; OR High School Diploma or GED and at least three years of relevant experience in school nutrition programs.
  • Experience Extensive relevant knowledge and experience in nutrition or dietetics and three years' increasingly responsible food service supervisory experience.
  • Food Handler's Permit/Card. Specialized training in food preparation and/or food service management with demonstrable computer, record keeping, and communication skills is highly preferred.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License. ย 
  • Valid Arizona Department of Safety (DPS) Identity Verified Print (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card. ย 
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and an extensive background check.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office and standard workplace technology. ย
