$235,000 – $310,000

A premier global law firm is seeking a Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing debtors, creditors, lenders, private equity sponsors, investors, and other stakeholders in sophisticated restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters.

Ideal Background

2–4 years of restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency, or financial restructuring experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience handling business reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, Chapter 11 proceedings, and bankruptcy-related litigation

• Experience representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, lenders, private equity sponsors, distressed investors, official committees, or other stakeholders

• Experience drafting and negotiating restructuring support agreements, forbearance agreements, financing documents, bankruptcy pleadings, motions, and related restructuring documents

• Experience appearing before U.S. Bankruptcy Courts and assisting with contested matters, adversary proceedings, and other bankruptcy litigation is preferred

• Experience supporting distressed mergers & acquisitions, asset sales under Section 363, debtor-in-possession financings, and exit financings is a plus

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated restructuring matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
