Customer Service Representative (Insurance)

Job Overview We are seeking a personable, reliable, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our policyholders, assisting with inquiries, processing policy updates, and providing exceptional support. While prior experience in the insurance industry is preferred, it is not mandatory—we are willing to train the right individual who possesses strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, professional support to incoming client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, billing questions, claim status updates, and general coverage information.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records within the agency management system.
  • Build positive relationships with policyholders through dependable and proactive service.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers and internal account managers to resolve complex customer requests.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) or Life & Health License (Required upon hire or within an agreed timeframe).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; personable and comfortable talking with clients daily.
  • Proven reliability with a strong track record of punctuality and attendance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
  • Previous experience in an insurance agency or brokerage setting preferred, but not required.
