Job description

To participate in a remote work arrangement, employees must reside in the United States. No remote work arrangement will be considered for working from outside the United States.

This is a customer service position assisting a diverse student population. In this role you will guide students through the financial aid process and counsel prospective and current students through funding options.  Financial Advisors receive onboarding support through our On the Job Training Program and have opportunity for growth by means of our Career Pathways.

Schedule: A 40 hour work-week schedule will be determined based on preference and business needs falling during typical business hours for Herzing's Online Division, with one shift with evening hours and minimal Saturday hours required..

Requirements: 

  • Great customer services skills and experience. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent critical thinking skills. 
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Experience/knowledge of Student Information Systems (CampusNexus & Regent preferred). 

          Associate Financial Aid Advisor: 

          • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

          Financial Aid Advisor: 

          • Title IV administration/VA certifying official preferred. 
          • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

              The level a final candidate will be hired at will be dependent on qualifications and prior applicable experience. 

              Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The hourly pay range for this position is $20.54 to $27.78 (Associate level) or $21.74 to $29.42(Advisor level).
