To thrive as a Remote Financial Advisor, you need a solid understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and relevant regulations, typically supported by a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field and certifications like CFP or Series 7. Proficiency with financial planning software, CRM systems, and secure virtual communication tools is essential. How do remote financial advisors typically build and maintain client relationships without in-person meetings?

Remote Financial Advisors rely heavily on digital communication tools such as video calls, secure messaging, and client portals to foster strong relationships with their clients. What does a remote financial advisor do?

As a remote financial advisor, your responsibilities revolve around helping people reach their financial goals. You assist clients with investment strategies that minimize risk and promote financial stability, develop and implement plans for managing assets, and provide advice and information to assist your client with decision making. Your duties include helping clients budget, save for college and retirement, and handle challenges like health and long-term care planning, estate management, and taxes. Job description

Description
Build a practice, not just a book of business.
Some firms give advisors products to sell. Others give them quotas to meet. At TruOak Financial Partners, we give advisors the platform, coaching, resources, and freedom to build something of their own.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to become a complete financial professional. Our advisors work across insurance, investments, retirement strategies, estate planning, and advanced financial concepts. You will learn how these areas work together so you can solve more meaningful problems for your clients and build deeper, longer-lasting relationships.
You will not be handed a book of business. You will be taught how to create one.
That means developing your network, earning trust, growing your personal brand, and turning relationships into a sustainable advisory practice. You will have experienced leaders, structured training, mentorship, joint-work opportunities, and dedicated support behind you as you grow.
More than 30 advisors have joined TruOak this year, including new professionals, experienced advisors, team leaders, brokers, and independent practice owners. They came for different reasons, but many were looking for the same things: greater autonomy, stronger leadership, broader capabilities, and an environment where they would be known and supported.
Eligible advisors may also have access to annuity payout opportunities of up to 5%, depending on product, contract, licensing, production, and individual qualifications.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Sandy Springs and includes access to medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), firm events, performance celebrations, and four agency-paid trips each year, including two international destinations.
This role is not built around clocking in and waiting for opportunities to appear. It is for someone who is ready to create opportunities, build relationships, and take ownership of their growth.
If you want your effort to build something that belongs to you, we should talk.
Backgrounds That Often Translate Well
Successful candidates may come from financial services, insurance, banking, mortgage, real estate, business development, consultative sales, athletics, or military leadership.
The common thread is not one specific background. It is the ability to build trust, accept coaching, stay disciplined, and keep moving when results are not immediate.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, community involvement, and business development
โ€ข Build trusted, long-term relationships by understanding each client's goals, priorities, risk tolerance, and financial circumstances
โ€ข Create and present financial recommendations tailored to individual client needs
โ€ข Help clients implement appropriate strategies involving life insurance, investments, retirement planning, savings programs, and other financial solutions
Qualifications
You may be a strong fit if you are:
โ€ข Comfortable with business development, networking, and client acquisition
โ€ข Motivated by income upside tied to performance
โ€ข Interested in building a long-term career, not just finding another job
โ€ข Life Health Insurance license required, support available if in process
โ€ข SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 preferred, required within the first year if not currently held
โ€ข Must be a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder
โ€ข A strong communicator with the confidence to meet new people and build trust
